This is a slightly modified version of a single-deploy, 3" MAC Performance Scorpion with 38mm mount.  MAC makes some of the nicest high-power kits you'll find.  I departed from Mike's design by extending the motor mount in both directions.  That allowed me to use an Aero Pack spin-on tail cone retainer, and help keep the recovery gear farther forward.  Its painted in a color scheme of my own design, using Testors lacquer paints.  I also applied alumimum foil tape on the fin can and in a band around the forward end of the body tube, with the idea it would be easier to spot if it was more reflective.
