Miss Universe needs no steenking plans, jigs, or other complexities.

She is made from a flower-arranger's styrofoam "egg". You may be able to scrounge one of these from a florist. or Michaels has them. Insert a 18mm motor mount (or short length of 18mm body tube) into a hole hollowed out of the pointy end of the egg, and retain with epoxy. Do not use a motor retaining clip. Stick the 4 dowels into the styrofoam, symmetrically disposed with silicone bathtub caulk. These form her tentacles. Make lips and eyeballs from bathtub caulk and place on her head in a visually attractive position. Place small blobs of caulk or PVA glue around her head for her "knobs". Attach false eyelashes stolen from teenage daughter. If you want to preserve her modesty, add a skirt made from tinsel. Apply green make up, and go fly. Uses A8-3 or B6-2.

Miss Universe was flown at GARLO (CIA's annual bash) and at the Park Forest (IL) Rocket Launch and R/C show. She is quite stable, but does not get a lot of altitude (in fact, the A8-3 and B6-2 both give about the same). The photo is from the GARLO event. She has a lot of drag and tumble recovery onto grass is quite satisfactory. Her skirt got a little singed, showing that she really is "hot stuff" - you don't want to put your hand up there !!
