Brief:
A 65 newton seconds EconoJet composite propellant motor by Aerotech
The first time I used one of these motors was this spring. It was my first mid-power motor, and I was very eager to try it. So, I, with the help of my friends, loaded up the rocket that I was using this motor on (A scratch built rocket called the Hari Hunter)
As I had only used black powder motors, the roar and flames were astounding for my friends and me. The Hari Hunter shot up about 1100 feet, and this motor's ejection charge was more than sufficient to eject the parachute and allow the Hari Hunter a safe landing. Not a bad deal considering you can get 2 of these at discount hobby center for 13 bucks.
PROS- Impressive motor, nice dark smoke trail. Inexpensive (22 dollars plus tax for 2)
CONS- A bit under-powered for larger models, but that's what the G35's are for. Copperhead igniters are not very good.
Summary:
This is an excellent motor. It is a great motor for beginning mid power. The only con that I have is that the Copperhead Igniters that come with it are mediocre.
