My Estes Mammoth Disaster

I flew my Estes Mammoth at for the first time at Bridgeton Area Rocket Club on 3/17/18. She flew on an F42 Blue Thunder to 1157 feet before taking a nosedive and embedding itself 3 inches in the solid ground. The cause was later determined to be insufficient bonding of the shock chord mount to the body tube leading to a total separation of the nose cone and parachute at apogee. This video documents the story from the build to the flight. Music: My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion
