Flight Log - 2015-05-25 - Rick Barnes's Jayhawk

Stock build of an early '90s Estes Pro Jayhawk.  Definately the most complicated kit that I built as a kid, but it came out well.  The tip fins are fragile though, so it has only seen a couple of flights.  After the last one, I worked Titebond into the wing crack, then epoxy filleted the tip fins (I only used wood glue originally).  The tip fins ought to be much more secure now, but I'm concerned that landings may stress the wings instead.  I'm thinking of using a larger parachute.  I'd rather walk further to a safe landing then have to keep fixing it.  I'm not sure how many more it can take...
