Mark Kulka's Estes EIRP #10 Lil' Augie

This was not a production kit but rather a free plan provided by Estes Industries. The rocket featured a 1" tube that surrounded the lower half of the airframe and aft end in an attempt to provide thrust augmentation. The booster stage of this two-stage rocket wasd the augmenter tube, which was permanently attached to the sustainer. After staging, the booster motor was ejected out of lower tube, which then became the thrust augmenter for the sustainer. This boosted design was created in an attempt to get the rocket up to sufficient speed with the booster motor so that thrust augmentation could be attempted when the sustainer motor was firing. The designer referred to the Lil' Augie as "an experiment."
