Flight Log - 2021-10-02 - William Beggs's Public Enemy V-2 Special Display

Rocket paint scheme came from original photos that I have obtained over the years. The original V-2 was used as a traveling display for the Air Force in the late 1940's. This V-2 also has an altimeter bay with a hatch located half way up on the body tube. About a pound of nose weight was added for stability and the rocket can easily handle a "J" range motor.

Flight Date: 2021-10-02
Rocket Name: Public Enemy V-2 Special Display
Kit Name: Public Enemy - Vengeance V-2 (4)
Flyer's Name: William Beggs
Motors: I200-M
Expected Altitude: 1,500 Feet
Wind Speed: 8.00 mph
Launch Site: NCR
Actual Altitude: 1,326 Feet

Great flight and recovery. The rocket weather cocked a little and upon landing cracked a few of the fin fillets but still structurally sound. Used a Sperachute 48" parachute and could possibly use a little larger one.
