Way back in 2014 we were into High Power Rocketry. This video was taken from a digital key chain sized HD camera strapped to the side of one my rockets. I found some archive footage in an old formats and I felt like dragging it out, blowing the dust off of it and translating it into something I could edit into a YouTube video. This video includes segments from launches at a sanctioned Tripoli rocket launch at the Hearn Municipal airport in Hearn, Texas. We are amateur radio operators and we were experimenting with on-board live video on our over-sized rockets. It was a fantastic day of rocket flights! We have a "collection" of old rockets sitting in a corner collecting dust. Some of them smaller and some of them larger than the example shown here. It was a fun hobby! Until it got to the point where it cost us over 350 bucks per flight because of the large over-sized motors we had to purchase... This video was my first attempt at a small digital DVR on-board a rocket! No more live video transmitters and SHVS cassette decks in the van! Everything fit on a little tiny SD card...
