Flight Log - 2012-08-19 - Tom Rankin's Core Sample II

I bought this kit from a no-name supplier on Ebay.  The parachute did not deploy on the first flight but the nose cone popped off.  This truly was a core sample flight.  I rebuilt the rocket with a new section of body tube and new nose cone.  I also added a 24mm adapter.  The successive flights have been without incident.

Flight Date: 2012-08-19
Rocket Name: Core Sample II
Flyer's Name: Tom Rankin
Motors: Aerotech E30-4
Expected Altitude: 1,200 Feet
Wind Speed: 5.00 mph
Launch Site: Geneseo, NY

Fun to watch!  I attached a Booster Vision to the rocket and got a decent video.  I need to reconsider the parachute: recovery was 1/2 mile down range.
