I originally built this kit back in the mid-90's and put a TON of effort into it. I recall using quite a bit of Pactra Prep to seal the balsa fins and get a smooth finish. It won me an award back then, and was on display for about 15 years.

Once I joined the Dallas Area Rocket Society, I entered it in the 2010 DARS Fall Classic "Classic Classic" category where it took first place. It saw action again at the 2011 event, winning the "Classic Starship" category. It is now retired from competition, and after a stand-up landing in December of 2012, retired from flight. It has returned to display status when I do presentations at local schools.

A GREAT kit that I would love to get another one... But they go over $50 every time I see them on Ebay. Perhaps sometime...
