Shot from Space View Park in Titusville, FL @ 4:14 am on 2-8-10. This is 12 miles away from the launch pad Video starts just after they announced the go ahead for launch and 1 min countdown. It's unfortunate that it looks like a giant ball of light because in real life you could see a defined rocket w/a massive trail of fire behind it. The sound isn't that audible in the video but when people start cheering 1 min after launch, is when it first comes. It gradually got so loud it was physically shaking us. I think part of the magic of it is really stopping to think that this is more than just the launch of a rocket. Out of around 7 BILLION people on earth, there are now only 6 who are alive and not on earth This is hands down one of the greatest experiences of my life. With only 4 launches left before retirement, if anyone thinks they're interested, i HIGHLY recommend going to see one
