This flight took place at NARAM 45 in Evansville, IN on August 2 2003. It was planned to be the last flight for this model. The rocket was prepped and loaded with an AeroTech K1100 core motor, with two AeroTech I284 motors airstarting from an Adept ST2 staging timer. The recovery system was deployed using a single Adept ALTS25, with another timer used for back-up ejection purposes. Although I had reached Level III and flown a few 'M' class motors, this was the most exciting flight for me. Everthing went perfect, and the bird reached 4305 feet AGL. It was taken home, cleaned up, given a fresh application of clear coat to the finish, and now sits in my basement as a trophy. The motor power was a total of 2680N, just above the 'L' class threshold. Amazing what this very inexpensive model achieved for its size and simplicity.
