LIVE Soyuz rocket blast off from Baikonur (2011-06-03)

In just a matter of minutes, two Russian cosmonauts and an American astronaut will blast off for the International Space Station. The Soyuz rocket is standing by at the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. With me in the studio is space expert Yury Karash who can talk us through the launch, and our correspondent Egor Piskunov is in Baikonur.

NASA want Soviet-era engines for Taurus II space launcher (2011-06-03)

A major US rocket manufacturer says it may buy Russian engines for the launch vehicle Taurus Two being developed for NASA. Aerojet is in talks over the possible deal after successful lengthy tests of the Russian NK-33 engine. The company bought the same model in the mid-90's and this time might need up to 70. The rocket engine is produced in Central Russia's Samara region and was first developed 40 years ago.

South Korea launches first rocket into space (2011-06-19)

South Korea has launched its first space rocket. The satellite onboard the rocket successfully separated from the carrier, but failed to reach the intended orbit. The launch followed an aborted attempt last week.

Spectacular launch of cargo rocket to space (2011-06-16)

The Progress freighter spacecraft has successfully blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. It's delivering two and a half tons of cargo to the International Space Station. This includes food, water, fuel and packages from the families of the astronauts on-board the ISS. The spacecraft is expected to dock in three days time. Currently, six people are at the ISS
