The rocket was flown on October 12, 2009 in Eugene, Oregon using a D12-0 engine for the booster stage and the sustainer stage was modified to hold a E9-6 engine. The unstable spin is due to a slight flaw in one of the sustainer stage fins. Recovery was made by the use of a 16" nylon parachute and a 3"X3" Nomex blanket as wadding.
