National Association of Rocketry (Organization)
The MMA was incorporated on November 5, 1957 with Orville H. Carlisle, G. Harry Stine, and Barbara K. Stine as the "founding trustees."
On October 25, 1958, the Model Missile Association was renamed to the National Association of Rocketry.
NAR publishes Sport Rocketry, a bimonthly hobby rocketry magazine. Each year NAR sponsors the National Association of Rocketry Convention (NARCON), the National Association of Rocketry Annual Meet (NARAM) and the National Sport Launch (NSL).
