Freebie kit that came with Mega Mosquito. Rather than building for motor ejection I chose to try making this a nose blow recovery model. Nose cone is not glued on. A length of Kevlar is glued into the nose cone and runs to a lariat loop around the motor. Motor requires a tape thrust ring and friction fit. Because I have plenty of yellow in my fleet already I painted this one orange and black (Rustoleum 2X).

Tape thrust ring around the back end, Kevlar lariat looped around that, half a square of wadding in the front of the motor, friction fit. Mighty Mo was ready to go, for its first time. Countdown to zero and it disappeared. Some people tracked it, I didn’t see a thing until the last half second of the flight. It all went nominally. I guess!
