Graceful and straight vertical liftoff in light wind from the east.  Prior to launch, the rocket was bouncing and swaying on the launch rod, especially from the windy conditions.  The original design uses 3/16 inch launch lugs, but in retrospect, a 3/16 launch rod is not stiff enough.  I will add larger lugs for the next flight.

Parachute deployment was close to apogee.  The 18 inch chute carried the rocket approximately 800 feet downwind to a safe and damage-free landing.
