My last flight at NSL 2011. The 19th and unfortunately final flight of the Big BS, my very first "Mid" power build. Finally got the nerve to stick a G75 Metalstorm in the BS. Winds were starting to get a little gusty when I loaded it up. After a good 40 minute wait on the pad, the winds were definitely on the rise. Awesome boost, super fast off the rod. I lost it after burnout, briefly saw it again right before ejection, caught a few fin "flashes" high up, and then nothing. Started walking with the wind at my back and then saw something on the lakebed much further north than I had expected. Weak ejection charge pushed the nosecone off but left the laundry in the tube. One fin snapped off clean and another badly cracked, not repairable.
