Despite very little wind and more than a 5:1 thrust to weight ratio, this 17.5lbs rocket came off the rail and then cocked over about 27.5 degrees from vertical.  The 200-250 fps apogee event caused a slight bit of damage to the lower airframe where the kevlar snapped against it, despite pipe insulation protection around the kevlar harness.  Due to the higher speed event, the upper airframe/nosecone shear pins were broken and the main came out at apogee.  This made for a very long recovery--at least 2 miles away or more.  Good thing it had a tracker or it would have been lost.  Lesson learned--use higher thrust motors with this kit; next flight will be an Aerotech L1390G.
