Recovery charge delay was lughtly drilled for long 10 sec delay (10.5 sec was the intent). Full deployment charge (1.4 g) was loaded.
I failed to account for the concurrent burn of propellant and delay grain. Delay should have be 11.5 sec.
Rocket launched normally. LP-36 chute deployed pre-apogee at high speed.
Rocket returned to Earth at a high descent rate (~8.5 m/s) landing safetly in the recovery field only twenty feet from the launch pad.
Rocket was presented for post-flight inspection with a repairable 2.5" zipper on booster section and deemed readily repairable for a turnaround flight.
Level-1 Certification was awarded.
