Iris Payload on Beta

This BT-20 tube is just wide enough for an Altimeter-One. Static vent holes on the tube are marked above with a small decal. This payload section adds 6.5 grams of weight and 4 inches of length. This model with the Iris payload is still capable of breaking 700 feet with an A / A motor combination.

This original payload addition augered in at full speed when the second stage failed to ignite. The Altimeter Two inside survived and returned valid data!
