Interceptor Tail Cone

Close view of the molded plastic tailcone. Looks pretty but makes it a bit hard to remove the motor. You can't really move the motor mount further aft in construction unless you plan way ahead and glue the aft motor-mount centering ring on a bit forward than the instructions indicate, allowing the engine tube to sit back further. Next time I'll know better.  As can be seen here, I like to paint the inside of mine silver or red, or in this case gold.

This is where I intend to glue/mount the left side "SRB" to help lift this overwieght rocket,  made from an Estes Swift 220, right between the two caution labels, set aft enough to clear the plastic tailcone.
