Flight Log - 2012-04-12 - Bob Francis's Ghost Rider

We used surviving parts from Hermes 1 (the original Hijax kit) and combined it with a partial Hijax kit to make a complete rocket.  We painted it with glow in the dark paint for night launches.

Time: 6:08 pm.  Temperature: 60 degrees.  Wind blowing less than 5 mph from the southwest.  Sunny and clear.

Launched with the Altimeter Two onboard.  Good flight, very high.  Difficult to locate as it flew towards the northwest into the sun.  Parachute deployed and opened.  Bob recovered.  Rocket almost completely lost in tall grass about 100 yards northwest of the launch site.  No damage.
