The Washington Aerospace Club hosted their annual Fire In The Sky launch over Memorial Day weekend in Mansfield, WA. The weather for FITS this year was perfect, with light wind, reasonable temperatures, and sunny skies. I arrived late on Friday, which was the only day that experimental motors were allowed, and left on Sunday afternoon. I managed to nearly fill my camera's memory card by the end of Saturday, so most of the flying in this video was from that day. I captioned as many flights as I could with as much information I had about them, so some flights may not have a caption, or only have partial information. I had a great time and came home with all my rockets, plus some goodies from the vendors. I got to see many cool rockets and flights of all types and sizes, and picked up some ideas for what to fly next year (yes, I really want to fly a K2045 now....). Many thanks to WAC and the many volunteers who helped make the event a success. A special thanks to Brendan, who I worked with at RSO table on Saturday, and did range manager duties while I worked the LCO desk on Sunday. Folks like Brendan are what make this hobby so enjoyable. Also thanks to the vendors for supporting the event, as it is great to be able to procure needed items at the event.
