Nice launch with some weather-cocking due to the wind. Nosed over at apogee and I heard the *pop*. Unfortunately, all that happened was the NC came off, but the chute did not get out of the BT. Core sample was about 1" deep, but to my credit the leading edge of the BT was in perfect condition, which means the meat of the BT and the motor mount absorbed the shock, ripping the motor mount from the paper tube. (The Elmer's Glue-All held just fine, it was the paper of the body tube that ripped away from itself. Sadly, with a failed motor mount, all that can be saved is a nose cone.
