After a succesful launch on an A8-3, I wanted more out of this rocket. I had some old B4-4 motors--at least 15 years old, if not older. I decided to try one of them in the Farside.
Initial ignition attempt was a failure. I waited 30 seconds and then checked the rocket. The leads had been twisted together. A simple fix.
The rocket shot off the pad, a much straighter flight than on the A8-3. Ejection was before Apogee, though. A longer delay would be better.
At ejection, it was clear that the parachute was not going to fully deploy. Still, it came down slow enough on the makeshift streamer.
Upon recovery, I found one of the shroud lines had either broken or melted. Not sure which. Otherwise, there was no damage.
