It has been some time since my last rocket video and I apologize for that. My preferred video editing software decided it no longer likes my camera's file format, and has given me fits while trying to edit some longer launch compilation videos. However, I've been wanting to share my latest project, and was able to get this short video together. This is Angry Daddy, an Estes Big Daddy that I modified for Tri-Cities Rocketeer's Sod Blaster contest this year. I entered in the Big Daddy Stress Test competition in the Unlimited category. Rules were to build a Big Daddy that conforms to the original outline, and must use the original nose cone. I modified my kit with a LOC motor mount and centering rings, 1/8" fiberglass fins, kevlar shock cord, rail buttons, and an eye bolt and about five ounces of nose weight up front. In the nose cone I was able to fit a 24" parachute, nomex blanket, chute release, tracking streamer, and my Missileworks T3 GPS. Contest flight was on an Aerotech J315R. Thanks for watching and hopefully I'll have more vids out in the near future as I transition to my new editing software.
