Flight Log - 2011-12-03 - vincent penoso's Aerotech Mustang

Aerotech's Musrang Kit, Single stage labirynth baffle system. I painted this model to reflect my idea of a wild mustang. The model was built stock. I did replace the Aerotech 18" parasheet with a 21" 8-gore 1" spill hole custome chute I made built to 35% hemisphere. My only critique of the aerotech line is that they fail to mention that the builder must decide what motor he will fly in these models using the 24mm adapter. Built STOCK , and using the 24mm adapter you will only be able to use the RMS 24-40 motors and they fit perfectly. The Single Use motors WIL NOT fit as they are about 3-4mm longer than the installed motor hook. The solution is to have 2 adapters. Other than that, I think this model is a winner. It can be assembled quickly but I take my time for every little detail. MAiden flight slated for 7.16.2011.

I painted the model with a Paasche VLSO airbrush and createx acrylic paints; cured with a ryobi 110watt heat gun at 200 degrees.
