This is a video of the 2010 Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) hosted by the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association (ESRA). Four schools entered, BYU, Embry Riddle, UCLA and CSULB. All of them Successfully launched a rocket in the Basic Category of the competition, which was to launch a 10lb payload to 10000 feet. ERFSEDS (a club from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) won 1st place. Brigham Young University won Second Place, and California State University - Long Beach won the Jim Furfaro Award for Technical Excellence. Congratulations to all teams, I hope you enjoy the video, I tried to make it as non-biased as possible which was a little difficult since I didn't have a lot of media for everyone else. If anyone is wondering the cameras on the Embry Riddle rocket are GearCam DVRs.
